Subject: Excellent performance, recording and transfer
The New York Philharmonic is one of the best of the world class orchestras, with outstanding performers oozing superior musicianship from every chair. Bruno Walter's interpretation of the 3rd is conservative, but makes for a solid and very enjoyable recording. The transfer is outstanding and the fidelity is amazing for a 78rpm record. I actually wanted to use a more intense word than "amazing" but I can't think of one. You won't regret downloading this and making it a part of your classical music collection. This is one of the Archive's gems. 6 stars, if it were available to give!
